By using the e-commerce portion of this site and the services provided through it you agree to the following:
1. You have listened to the examples of my mixing on this site and feel that my services are the right choice for your music.
2. You understand and acknowledge that the quality of the recordings you submit to be mixed will ultimately affect the outcome of the quality of the mixes. For example if you record in a bedroom or a garage with cheap microphones, low grade preamps and poor converters your mix will obviously not sound as good as if you recorded in a professional studio with an experienced engineer. You understand that all of the examples provided on this site were recorded at top notch facilities with a lot of time, care, and excellent equipment. You agree to be reasonable in your demands and accept that if things were not recorded properly there is only so much magic I can do in the mixing. Do not expect a mix like Michael Jackson's "Thriller" if you have not spent a great amount of time and energy recording and producing the song.
3. You have read and understand the instructions for submitting files. You understand that by not following the guidelines provided, the sound quality of your songs could be effected. You agree that I will not be held liable for problems caused by incorrectly submitted files.
4. You understand that there will be up to 2 revisions provided for each song. (As in the 1st mix, revised mix 1 and revised mix 2.) Revisions must be submitted in writing within 3 days of me sending a mix to you. Any revisions not submitted within the 3 day window or mixes needing more than 2 revisions will be billed at an hourly rate of $65/hr. Revisions should be sent to bradley@promixengineer.com. You may also call at anytime to discuss revisions or any other aspects of your project.
5. You understand that mastering is outsourced and I cannot be held liable for your satisfaction with the mastering. Mastering is provided through this site as a convenience to our users. Mastering is a necessary final step in the production process and it is what will make your songs loud. You are more than welcome to use any mastering engineer of your choice. We will provide you full bandwidth stereo audio files to deliver to mastering on every mix we complete. If you choose to use the mastering provided on this site, the mastering engineer will be chosen at our discretion based on the style of your music. We will submit the files to them and they will send them back to us. I will then send you the final mastered files. If you are not satisfied with the mastering for any reason, call me and I will get you in touch directly with the mastering engineer and you can take it from there. Again, I cannot be held liable for your satisfaction with the mastering.
6. You agree that you understand the difference between mixing and mastering. You also agree that you will not complain about you song(s) not being loud enough if you do not choose to have your songs mastered.
7. You represent that you have all legal rights to the audio files provided and agree that I will not be held liable for any damages or fees incurred by you as a result of enlisting my mixing services.
8. You understand that any materials (i.e. hard drives, DVD's, USB sticks, etc.) used to submit files to me and the files themselves will not be returned to you unless prior arrangements are made and agreed to in writing. Please contact me before submitting files if you would like to make these arrangements.
9. You represent that you have a backup of your multi-track files other than the ones you submit to me. I cannot be held liable for any files lost through the use of this site. |
